Can I keep my current system version after storage expansion?
Answer
Storage expansion requires replacing storage hardware and restoring the system. The device must then receive the latest system version it supports, so the current system version cannot be retained.
If you must keep the current version for software compatibility, a work environment or another reason, we do not recommend storage expansion. You must also make a complete backup of important data before expansion, then migrate data from an available backup after the system is restored.
